Household toxins... putting you and your family at risk!
Do you or your family suffer from:
- Asthma
- Allergies
- Eczema
- Dermatitis
- Childhood cancer
- Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD)
There
is mounting evidence that the common household cleaners and body-care products
we buy from the supermarket are contributing to the dramatic increases in some
of the above diseases.

Many of the common laundry, kitchen & bathroom cleaning products we use
contain chemicals known as Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). Things like
phosphorous, chlorine, formaldehyde, bleach, etc. are regarded as VOCs and are
definitely not 'body-friendly'.
Asthma study
A recent study into the causes of asthma in children, has revealed that many of the chemicals found in common household cleaning and body care products, create an increased risk of asthma in young children. The study was conducted by Professor Krassi Rumchev of the School of Public Health at Curtin University of Technology in Australia, and reported in British Medical Association's journal Thorax (published Aug. 2004).
The asthma rate has increased dramatically over the last 20 years, with deaths from childhood asthma increasing by over 100% during that period. Unfortunately it appears that our youngest are the ones at greatest risk, and it seems to be getting worse.
Household pollution
It now appears that many of our 'wonder cleaners' and other household products, we purchase every month from our local supermarket, have a case to answer regarding increased pollution levels in the average home and generally contributing to the 'Toxic Brew' that we now find ourselves in.
